Group Teacher – Primary School
Casa de las Estrellas is seeking a full-time Group Teacher to guide one or our primary school grades. The ideal candidate will bring presence, creativity, and a strong commitment to holistic education, while integrating the Waldorf pedagogy with the Costa Rican MEP curriculum. This role supports the academic, artistic, and emotional development of students through intentional, developmentally appropriate teaching.
About the Role
The Group Teacher will be responsible for one primary school grade. This includes guiding the class through all core academic subjects while weaving in music, storytelling, movement, arts, and experiential learning.
The teacher builds a classroom culture rooted in respect, rhythm, imagination, and care to nurture critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and a sense of social responsibility in each student.

Core Responsibilities
Lead one primary grade class, teaching across subjects in alignment with Waldorf and MEP standards
Create a respectful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment’
Design lessons that integrate the arts, movement, and experiential learning
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain open, respectful communication with families
Participate in festivals, events, and faculty meetings
Engage in ongoing Waldorf study and professional development

This is a full-time salaried position
Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on our salary structure
