Our admissions process is designed to ensure a thoughtful, values-aligned fit for both your child and our community. The journey begins with your inquiry form & a phone call, followed by a personalized admissions process. Admissions Application Journey at Casa de las Estrellas

1. Submit an Inquiry Form

  • Begin your journey with Casa de las Estrellas by completing the Inquiry Form and reading of our FAQ Guide.

  • We ask all prospective families to review the FAQ Guide thoroughly, as it offers an important opportunity to reflect on our pedagogy and community, and to thoughtfully self-assess alignment and school fit.

  • After reviewing the guide and checking the box as part of the Inquiry process, you will be invited to schedule a 30-minute conversation with our Admissions team.

  • To be considered for our first round of acceptances- submit your inquiry form no later than April 10th.

  • If the class is at capacity, you'll receive an email confirming you've been added to our waiting list.

2. Conversation with Admissions

  • This 30-minute call is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore alignment between our program and your family’s expectations. During this conversation, we will share more about Casa de las Estrellas and learn about your child and family.

  • Please note that this call serves as an introductory step and a jumping-off point for the application process.

3. Submit Your Admissions Application

  • Families who choose to move forward in the process will receive an Admissions Application by email, along with a link to the Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form.

  • Please complete the application, submit the application fee (CRC 50,000), and (if your child has prior school experience) forward the Confidential Teacher Form link to your child’s current teacher.

  • Your completed application and teacher recommendation will be reviewed by the Admissions team and a Casa de las Estrellas teacher prior to your family interview.

  • For consideration in our first round of acceptances these must be submitted no later than April 15th.

4. Family Interview with a Casa de las Estrellas Teacher

  • Our Admissions Team will introduce a Casa de las Estrellas teacher to schedule your family interview.

  • A Calendly link will be provided so you can select a time to meet and deepen our shared understanding of your child’s strengths, needs, and readiness for our program.

  • Please plan for your child to be present for a portion of the interview. We love meeting the children who may join our community.

  • To be considered for the first round of acceptances this interview must be completed by April 28th.

5. Admission Decision

  • Following your family interview and review of all materials, families will receive an official Admission Decision via email.

  • If your child is accepted, you will receive an Acceptance Letter outlining the next steps to confirm enrollment.

6. Complete Required Forms and Agreements

  • Families offered a confirmed space will receive a link via email to submit all required documents, contracts, and school forms.

  • Timely completion of these materials secures your child’s place at Casa de las Estrellas.

7. Registration (Matrícula) Fee

  • Payment of the Registration Fee is required to reserve your child’s space. Instructions for submitting payment will be sent via email.

8. Confirmation of Enrollment 

  • Once all required steps have been completed, including submission of forms and payment of the Registration Fee, you will receive a formal Letter of Enrollment welcoming your family to Casa de las Estrellas.

  • This letter confirms your child’s place for the upcoming school year.

Important Notes 

  • Applications & Forms: When completing any application or form for your child, please enter their full name exactly the same way on every document. This is how our system identifies your child and automatically match forms and documents to them. If the name is entered differently on different forms, the system may not recognize them as belonging to the same student- and you may be asked to resubmit the documents.  We appreciate your care and attention here. 

  • Application Timeline: The entire process typically takes 3-4 weeks from inquiry form to enrollment decision

Tuition - Fees


Important Dates & Billing Cycles

At Casa de las Estrellas, we strive to provide clear and supportive billing practices that reflect our values of transparency, accountability, and community care.

Tuition Payment Options

Families may choose from the following tuition payment plans:

  • Annual Payment
    Pay in full by July 1st and receive a 3% discount on the total annual tuition.

  • Trimester Plan
    Pay in three installments throughout the school year (see due dates below).

Sibling Discount

To support families with multiple children enrolled, we offer the following discounts:

  • Second child: 5% tuition discount

  • Third child and beyond: 10% tuition discount

Please note: Discounts apply to the child(ren) with the lowest tuition rate. The registration fee (matricula) is charged per child and is not discounted.

Registration Fee (Matrícula)

The registration fee (matrícula) is an annual payment that confirms your child's enrollment for the upcoming school year. In the spirit of Waldorf education, this fee represents a family’s intentional recommitment to our shared learning path and school community.

This fee supports:

  • Administrative and enrollment processing

  • Annual student records and documentation

  • Ordering and preparation of classroom materials

  • Staffing and scheduling commitments for the upcoming year
