Movement and/or Eurythmy Teacher

Casa de las Estrellas is seeking a Movement and/or Eurythmy Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of presence, artistic skill, and a clear commitment to guiding students in their physical, spatial, and inner development through intentional movement.

This role plays a key part in supporting the physical, emotional, and social growth of our students by offering developmentally appropriate movement experiences rooted in Waldorf pedagogy.


About the Role

  • The Movement and/or Eurythmy Teacher will lead rhythmic, artistic, and developmentally appropriate lessons for students from Early Childhood through 6th Grade. This role includes approximately 10–12 classes per week, supporting a range of ages with lessons that meet students where they are in their physical, emotional, and social development.

  • Through expressive movement, the teacher nurtures self-awareness, coordination, group integration, and inner vitality—core elements of Waldorf education.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and lead Movement and Eurythmy classes grounded in Waldorf pedagogy for early childhood through sixth grade

  • Create a physically safe, aesthetically intentional, and emotionally supportive classroom environment

  • Foster expression, presence, and group cohesion through developmentally appropriate movement

  • Actively participate in school festivals, celebrations, and community events

  • Observe, document, and assess individual and group learning processes

  • Engage in faculty meetings, trainings, study groups, and ongoing professional development


Compensation & Professional Development

  • This is an hourly position, as is standard for specialty subject teachers

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on our current salary structure

  • Salary recognition of up to 30% based on academic degrees, Waldorf training, and seniority
